  EDUCATOR PROFILE

My teaching preparation began at the University of Tulsa in the area of Special Education with a minor in Elementary/Secondary Education. I extended my teaching field to include courses in gifted education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado, at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, and Oklahoma State University.  I currently hold certification in Gifted Education, grades K-12, both in Oklahoma and Colorado. 

Upon receiving a scholarship, I earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Oklahoma State University.  I serve on district GT committees, and an assessor for National Board of Professional Teachers.  I have been in the Tulsa Public School system teaching Gifted Education at Eliot Elementary since 1992.

Teaching at Eliot is a wonderful experience, and one that is very fulfilling and rewarding.
