Jessica Brauer is the 2023-2024 Eliot Elementary Support Professional of the Year!
Jessica is a teacher assistant at Eliot. She supports six teachers in grades 2-5 and helps anywhere she can.
"My day includes helping with administrative prep for classes, behavior support, providing in-class help, and pulling small groups for math, reading, or writing. I also host a “Quiet Lunch” for students who need a quiet break from the day."
Jessica's kids attend Eliot, which is what led her to join Team Tulsa.
"When we started at Eliot in the 21-22 school year, there was a big need for substitutes, so I started subbing at Eliot. I really enjoyed working with the students and being more involved at my kids’ school. After subbing again last year, the opportunity to be a teacher assistant came up this school year, and I was glad to have the chance to be even more involved."
"I love connecting with students and helping teachers. It is very fulfilling to know that I make a difference for someone everyday—even on the hard days. I love Eliot. I’m so grateful to work in a place where I know I’m part of a team that loves the students and works hard everyday to help them succeed."
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family. They especially enjoy spending time outdoors together, which it be hiking, skiing, or traveling.
